Oceanco delivers 90-metre DreaAMBoat

2nd July 2019

The end of June saw the delivery of Oceanco’s latest superyacht, named DreAMBoat by her new owners. The 90-metre motoryacht is a first-time collaboration between the two superyacht industry stalwarts, interior design house Terence Disdale Design, and naval architects Espen Øino International. In this build, the owner became involved following the completion of the superstructure and hull, which allowed Oceanco to develop and deliver a customised yacht with a significantly reduced build and engineering time of just 18 months.

In a statement released by the yard, Oceanco reports that the owner was drawn to the project by the ‘classic elegant and engaging exterior lines that would sustain a timeless appeal and found that the interior layout was perfectly suited to his intended use’.

The Espen Øino design features a traditional yet strong design thanks to the generous overhangs from the superstructure, cutouts in the bulwark, and a full carbon canopy mast house and mast. The designer himself describes the exteriors as ‘understated and timeless’ with a deck space that maintains ‘continuity and consistency’, flowing seamlessly into the interiors.

Designed with family life in mind, the exterior spaces offer multiple living spaces and experiences, with ample space for entertaining and lounging in both the sun and the shade, particularly on the sundeck which is probably the largest in its class. The main aft deck houses a large swimming pool, measuring 6-metres by 3.1-metres in length, and the bridge deck aft holds a spa including a hydro/massage bath and numerous water toys and a custom dive board. There is also an extensive space featuring a Jacuzzi, outdoor cinema and a variety of seating which is expected to be a heavily used space by the owner. The furniture and upholstery throughout all the outdoor space is harmonised with the design of the exterior.

DreAMBoat has a generous volume of 2950GT, accommodating up to 23 guests and 33 crew members. With multi-generational appeal, the interior spaces offer both intimate and large gathering spaces, including large saloons and multiple dining areas.

“Our interior design features many exotic finishes creating a harmonious and calm environment including surprise details to entertain the eye," says Terence Disdale. "We always strive to avoid the 'big wow' factor that soon becomes boring. We believe that DreAMBoat with her quietly sophisticated interior is indeed a future classic." Bespoke surfaces, natural wood, limestone floors and semi-precious stone vanities are some of the unique design elements that make up the yacht’s elegant finish.

Technology-wise, DreAMBoat is fitted with state of the art infrastructure and operating systems, and a number of environmental considerations, including a heat recovery system for potable water and ECO-IHM notation have her sitting above statutory compliance levels.

Now she has been delivered, the owner plans to spend the summer season cruising on DreAMBoat with his children, grandchildren and friends. “Delivering DreAMBoat is the ultimate milestone in Oceanco's ethos of creating the Owners Perfect Yacht," says Roderick Gort, Project Director at Oceanco.
